Are You In Tune With Your Target Market?
I’ve talked a lot about making sure your business is aligned with your target market.
And in today’s environment where your target market’s wants and needs can change in an instant, it’s important to stay on top of what will solve their problems and make their lives easier.
Many of today’s solutions didn’t exist a few years ago. Heck, some of them didn’t exist a few months ago. While our super smart techie friends are finding ways to make our lives easier and more connected, it’s important for your business to stay in tune to what’s important for your target market.
So I was intrigued the other day when I visited a local Walgreens store. Plastered on the front doors (both of them) was a huge sign telling customers they could “get texted when their prescription was ready.” You can see the sign below. How cool is that? Anyone who’s had to hang around a pharmacy waiting to pickup a prescription — when they had a gazillion things to do — would find this to be a good solution to that problem.
Your customers will tell you what they want and need. All you have to do is listen. What have you done to stay in tune with your target market?
