Gartner’s Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2011
Is it just me, or is it too early for 2011 top trends lists? I guess Gartner doesn’t think so, because they released their 2011 technology trends list earlier this week.
Some of the more interesting quotes from the list:
- Gartner estimates that by the end of 2010, 1.2 billion people will carry handsets capable of rich, mobile commerce providing an ideal environment for the convergence of mobility and the Web.
- … by 2013, more than 25 percent of the content that workers see in a day will be dominated by pictures, video or audio.
- Gartner predicts that by 2016, social technologies will be integrated with most business applications. Companies should bring together their social CRM, internal communications and collaboration, and public social site initiatives into a coordinated strategy.
I’ll stop before I reach the point of copyright infringement and suggest you view the full list on Gartner’s site.
