Pitch of the Week – Business Opportunities and Ideas
Our first Pitch of the Week is the Business Opportunities and Ideas website; a blog specifically written for those starting or running a small business. The entry in to the WinWeb Pitch of the Week competition was made by John Crickett, founder of the Business Opportunities and Ideas website.
‘Business Opportunities and Ideas’ is a website that was created primarily in order to focus on small and medium business interests. The original concept was that ‘Business Opportunities and Ideas’ would be a website where random business ideas could be placed so that the website could grow as a resource for those who run, or are thinking of starting, a small business. The website has since developed in to a compilation of pieces covering most aspects of starting and running a business.
Currently, ‘Business Opportunities and Ideas’ is striving to provide useful information and advice for small businesses. Alongside this, the website also hopes to provide inspiration for those who are looking for a business idea or opportunity to grow in to a successful business.
In the current climate we are acutely aware that there is no such this as a “job for life” anymore and, given the state of the worldwide economies, people could help not only themselves but also the wider economy by starting their own business.
John is currently working on the dissertation for his MBA for which he will be researching the role that business angels and informal venture capital market plays in the financing of start-up businesses. Combining that with the growth and interest in ‘Business Opportunities and Ideas’, It really is growing in to a ‘one stop shop’ for small business information.
Small businesses are continuing to fail each and every day, and ‘Business Opportunities and Ideas’ hopes to help solve this by offering advice, support and guidance for small businesses.
Your small business could be featured in this blog, and across the web; simply visit our Facebook page and make your pitch, just like John did!
