Silicon Prairie
Silicon Prairie News covers the midwestern technology scene, with a special focus on Omaha and Des Moines. I mentioned it the other day to a Silicon Valley friend of my mine, and he responded “must be the smallest news site in the world.”
He was joking of course, but it did make me realize a lot of folks are unaware of the interesting technology activities going on in the midwest.
Also, the midwest’s economy has held up much better than the coasts during the recession. Add in excellent universities and low business costs, and it is easy to see why technology firms are thriving there.
So take some time to read Silicon Prairie News. There’s a lot going on in the midwest.
